ARTICLE CREDITED TO: Christina Carroll - Yahoo VIDEO CREDITED TO: KETC TV In this section you will know what RAMS TAILGATING is all about. In St. Louis we take our sports seriously and we take our tailgating parties even more seriously. When the Rams came to St. Louis, tailgating parties were taken up a notch and fans came out in droves to celebrate the special time before the game started. These are a few of the most common traditions that you will see before every home game.
The food is something that no tailgater can be without. Among the typical favorites of burgers, brats, hot dogs, and pork steaks our fans also throw in local favorites like toasted ravioli. There is also the elite group who cook steaks and some broil shrimp as well as crayfish. Often times you can causally be passing by a group and get a offer to sit and enjoy a great meal with them. If you are asked it is customary to offer a few dollars to cover the cost of your meal. Or barter with them and offer a tasty beverage from your cooler.
People watching is a all time favorite past time of mine at any tailgating event. The fans paint their faces, animals and vehicles to show their support for the St. Louis Rams. It is always neat to see the way that people have their vehicles decked out. I enjoy seeing blue people as well as gold people. Beads in the team colors are often distributed throughout the crowds and beach balls are known to fly as well. A good time is usually had by all. If you have the chance you should definitely walk the streets close to the Edward Jones Dome and take in the sights and smells of tailgating at its finest.
